Nancy Meise

Nancy was a Professional Nurse for twenty five years. During her career she worked as a staff nurse in various hospitals, held three Director of Nursing positions, worked for the State of Massachusetts as Co Director of their Ombudsman Program. (This was an elder advocacy program which was mandated by the Federal Govt). After retiring,she has continued to have an interest in advocating for Elders on a volunteer basis.

Presently, she works with Bob Deits, her husband since February , 2018 helping him facilitate grief support groups.

Nancy was married to Richard G. Meise for forty -five years. Richard died in 2013 of stage 4 lung cancer. Richards career demanded that he move for various promotions. They lived in four different states, Nancy was licensed to practice Professional Nursing in all four states which is why her nursing experiences are broad.

After retirement, she owned a Three Dog Bakery with her daughter, Sandra. Her responsibilities were baking and bookkeeping! This experience was short lived as Sandra went on to another career and Nancy retired.

Nancy graduated from the Providence Hospital School of Nursing in Southfield, Michigan.

She has five children, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Her interests include, golf, bridge, life enrichment classes, fly fishing, and dancing.
